Jesse Moore Kelsch has studied
yoga asana since 1999, and has become one inch taller since that time.
She has
exclusively practiced Iyengar yoga since 2000, and studies
with Iyengar teachers as often as possible to refine and nourish her
own
practice, out of which comes her teaching. She
is certified by IYNAUS to teach in this method.
Jesse believes Patanjali’s yoga sutras which state that a consistent, dedicated yoga practice calms the fluctuations of the consciousness, and also relieves pain, both physical and mental. In Jesse’s class you might use props (blocks, straps, ropes) as tools to enable a deep release in the body even if the body is not yet ready for the classical expression of a particular asana. You’ll also spend a little more time in each asana (always being responsive to your own current limits,) to approach awareness of the body-mind connection through your own subtle actions. You’ll come out of class feeling strong, calm and vibrant, having stretched and expanded both your body and your awareness. |
